Position Overview
Montcalm Collection is looking for an ambitious and passionate Rooms Division Manager who will lead the wider hotel team, oversee all aspects of running a hotel, essentially concentrating on Guest Experience from pre-arrival to post-departure.

Key Responsibilities
Rooms Division Manager shares the overall responsibility for the health, safety, and welfare of employees, guests, and visitors of the hotel with the Hotel Manager, also ensures licence, award and insurance agreements are respected, adequate procedures, trainings are in place and responsibilities are clearly defined.
This role requires a keen eye for detail, proactive and hands on approach and operational knowledge of all hotel outlets. A “CAN DO” attitude, as well as, decision making skills, and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment to drive business growth and enhance the hotel’s brand visibility in a luxury market must be natural.
Effective presence during peak business times, at times when foot flow is high and any other times where an opportunity to make a quality connection with guests is present.
- Strong attention to detail is present with regards to the overall Hotel presentation, internally and externally.
- Meetings regarding guest satisfaction, service training, and other related meetings are well prepared for and attended.
- Drive a great working environment for teams to thrive – connect departments to create sense of one team.
- Oversee night audit function and preparation of daily financial reports.
- Prepare and submit statistical performance and forecast analysis and reports as required.
- Use company systems and processes to maximise revenue. Develops plans to increase occupancy and ADR through walk-ins and upselling at the front desk
- Ensure front office provides guests with prompt service and, professional attention and personal recognition.
- Guest satisfaction data must be fully analysed, and plans developed and implemented to achieve established goals.
- Ensures suitable and sufficient Health and Safety policies, procedures, trainings, and safe systems of work are implemented across the hotel.
- Be an ambassador of professionalism during unexpected situations, when we all must pull together to get a task done.
