As we look to a busy year ahead, we are recruiting for a Sous Chef at the top of their game, to join our highly successful team. We are eagerly anticipating and excited for the next stage of our own journey…Is it time to start the next chapter in yours?
You will report directly to the Executive Chef, with the primary responsibility of ensuring that the Kitchen brigade (of 25) is delivering a fantastic standard at all times, focused on the highest quality and appearance of each finished plate, delighting our customer with every bite. Whether crafting an award-winning Afternoon Tea, innovative and classic dishes for our 116 Restaurant, expertly executed food for high profile events or the perfect meal for someone’s special celebrations, our Sous Chef is certainly a key contributor to the hotels success and reputation of being a place to surprise, delight and entertain.
As a Sous Chef already for at least 2 years, you’ll have experience working in a high-quality hotel, have worked at 2 rosette level or an equivalent standard and have strong people management skills. You’ll love to coach, teach and develop chefs and be able to communicate well at all levels. It gets busy so you’ll need to be extremely organised but calm under pressure whilst maintaining exceptional standards. This is a hands-on role – you’ll be a role model for the team you work within!
