The role of Senior Sous Chef:
- Oversee and manage the kitchen and team in the absence of the Head Chef.
- Helping to manage busy services, ensuring that all company standards are maintained.
- All aspects of kitchen management including ordering of stock, stock control, people management and development, fostering a culture of teamwork, creativity, and continuous improvement.
- Working as part of a professional team within a highly organised, well-equipped kitchen
- Being an integral part of the wider restaurant management team
- Contributing ideas towards seasonal changing menus and weekly specials.
We're looking for a Senior Sous Chef who has:
- Previous managerial experience as a Senior Sous Chef or Sous Chef within a similar standard hospitality environment.
- Excellent knowledge of classical cooking techniques as well as in-depth product knowledge.
- Proficient and knowledgeable on all Food Safety and Health & Safety legislation.
- Exposure to back-office procedures including stock control and payroll management would be beneficial.
- A track record of people development.
- Can communicate effectively with all departments in the spirit of the company values.
- Has the right to work in the UK.
