THE ROLE

As the Head Housekeeper you will be responsible for the smooth operational running of the housekeeping department. You will supervise the daily activities of housekeeping to ensure the team is working efficiently and effectively across all floors. Your tasks will include but will not be limited to:

  • To work closely with the Executive Housekeeper and to deputise in their absence, in order to assist with the leadership and operational running of the housekeeping team.
  • Manage housekeeping budgets, including cost controls with regards to the housekeeping labour costs and profitability.
  • To be aware of any agency costs and to ensure they are in line with the hotels room capacity.
  • To ensure your team and any agency staff working are fully briefed on what’s expected prior to the start of their shift.
  • Development and maintenance of all department control procedures and systems to maximise productivity and identify and reduce problem areas.
  • Assist with the organisation, ordering and par levels of inventories for linen, uniform and all other fixed assets.
  • Monitor, positively respond to, and action all guest and internal audit feedback directly in a way that reflects the Nobu Hotel brand guidelines and values.
  • To offer strong leadership, mentoring, and guidance to your team.
  • To be an advocate for training and development in order to foster progression and retention throughout your department.
  • To be an ambassador for Nobu as well as a strong leader who embodies our values and commitment to our teams.

EXPERIENCE

  • Experience in a Head Housekeeping role.
  • Experience in a 5* hotel.
  • Good understanding of budgeting, scheduling, productivity and inventory controls.
  • This individual must be willing to work flexible hours as needed during busy times and high-profile events.
