Job Description

Portico is currently recruiting for a part-time Housekeeper to join our team at a corporate hotel in Marble Arch.

The successful candidate will join our close knit, small and friendly team who work to ensure that our guests have a memorable stay and leave with a smile on their face.
  
Duties of the Housekeeper include:

  • Cleaning and servicing all aspects in relation to the preparation of guest accommodation. 
  • Ensuring that both back of house and public areas are always kept in a clean and tidy state. 
  • Providing a friendly, efficient, and hygienic service to all customers. 
  • General cleaning of all rooms including but not limited to; dusting, vacuuming, making beds, washing, and disposing of waste. 
  • Monitoring cleaning and consumable supplies, raising any requirements as needed. 
  • Reporting any necessary repairs or replacements.
  • Ensuring all rooms are cared for and inspected according to standards. 
  • Protecting equipment and making sure there are no inadequacies.
  • Dealing with reasonable complaints/requests with professionalism and patience.
  • Adhering to rules regarding health and safety and remaining aware of any company-related practices.

 
Hours: 22.5 hours per week with rotating 7.5-hour shifts from Monday - Friday 
Salary: £15,380 



Qualifications

Previous experience in a similar role is desirable but not essential. 
A keen eye for detail 
An outgoing and friendly personality 
Highly reliable and efficient
The ability to build good working relationships with colleagues, clients, and customers alike.
Basic communication skills
