An Events Office Manager within our business has the responsibility for; managing the Event Sales Executives to ensure all client needs are successfully met during the event enquiry and delivery process; ensuring the team make the right decision to maximise revenue opportunities for the hotel and the group.
A key element to this role is communication, all areas of our business need to be fully aware of our strategy, it is then that we create a team buy in to sales profitability. We are focused on increasing our market share in all business segments including the local corporate market place. We boast a fabulous multimillion pound refurbishment, this too should be widely communicated to drive sales and gain market share, this can be from the local, regional & national marketplace.
Responsibilities:
- To drive the conference and events & corporate markets specifically in the North West for direct business and with local agents.
- To manage the Event co-ordinations to ensure smooth delivery of all events taking place within the hotel.
- Contribute to the overall profitability requirements of Mottram Hall in line with the current Sales and Marketing Plan and the Hotel Budget.
- Handle incoming event and conference enquiries in accordance to Champneys Brand
- To drive mid-week corporate business and to increase awareness of the new Mottram in the local marketplace.
- Ensure that all customers are linked with and kept up-to-date with current rates or new developments within the hotel.
- Ensure an up-to-date and accurate knowledge of competitor hotels, local business, and competitor hotels rates, activity and developments.
- To ensure an effective handover with the client, coordinators and operational team.
- To support the rooms forecast with accurate and up to date information on all Events Bookings
- To produce weekly a 3-month room hire forecast & Event food & beverage revenue for both hotels and complete the appropriate commentary.
- Handle customer complaints promptly and professionally, demonstrating genuine care and concern, and advise the senior management team at the hotel as appropriate.
- Full and up-to-date knowledge of both hotels and company products and services is maintained.
