Job Description

We are looking for an experienced and passionate Housekeeping Manager to lead our housekeeping operation at our luxury 5-star hotel in the heart of Manchester.

This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who takes real pride in standards, presentation and guest experience, and who enjoys motivating and developing a close-knit team.

The Role

As Housekeeping Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the hotel is maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness and presentation at all times. You will work closely with the Front Office and Maintenance teams to deliver a seamless guest experience.

Key responsibilities include:

• Managing the day-to-day housekeeping operation across bedrooms and public areas
• Leading, training and motivating the housekeeping team
• Setting and maintaining exceptional cleanliness and presentation standards
• Preparing staff rotas and managing labour costs effectively
• Conducting room checks and quality inspections
• Managing linen, laundry and housekeeping stock
• Ensuring full compliance with health & safety and COSHH regulations
• Handling guest feedback professionally and proactively

About You

• Previous experience in a housekeeping management or supervisory role within a hotel environment
• Strong leadership skills with a hands-on, supportive management style
• Excellent attention to detail and high personal standards
• Good organisational and time-management skills
• Confident communicator with a guest-focused mindset
• Flexible to work weekends and peak periods as required
