Spa Manager
Where will you be working?
The Ned and Ned’s Club are a global collection of hotels, clubs, spas, and restaurants for like-minded individuals to meet, work and have a good time.
The Ned launched in 2017 in the heart of the City, in the former Midland Bank headquarters. It has since expanded to include The Ned NoMad in New York, The Ned Doha, and Ned’s Club Washington DC. Each property is unique and tailored to it’s location, but the ethos of The Ned remains the same; to create a space for like-minded professionals to meet, work, and have a good time.
The Ned City of London, where this role is based, houses Ned’s Club - a private members’ space, gym and rooftop - alongside a public spa, a whole floor of event spaces, ten restaurants and bars, and 250 hotel bedrooms.
Reporting to the Head of Wellness, you will:
- Lead the day‑to‑day operation of our Spa, overseeing both the Reception and Therapist teams to deliver consistently exceptional guest experiences
- Create an atmosphere of warmth and welcome, ensuring every guest journey feels relaxed, personal and memorable from arrival to treatment to post‑care
- Provide strong, visible leadership across both teams, role‑modelling service excellence and driving a culture of outstanding hospitality
- Oversee scheduling, rotas and operational planning to ensure smooth, efficient coverage throughout the week
- Ensure all Spa policies, treatment protocols, hygiene standards and compliance documentation are maintained to the highest standard
- Partner closely with our wellness, rooms, housekeeping, and membership teams to deliver a seamless experience for members and hotel guests
- Monitor commercial performance including revenue, treatment mix, retail, labour efficiency and cost controls, contributing to strategy to enhance profitability
- Support therapists in ongoing product knowledge, training and professional development
- Build strong relationships with suppliers, product houses and wellness partners to elevate our offering
- Handle guest feedback with confidence, finding solutions that protect both guest experience and The Ned's reputation
What can The Ned give you?
- Salary of up to £48,000 depending on experience
- Complimentary meals in our friendly team restaurant, Neddy’s including monthly payday breakfast
- Exciting learning and development programmes to help progress your career
- Exclusive rates at The Ned for staying and eating for you, your family and friends
- Wellbeing and health benefits, including Reward Gateway and Stream, with access to gym, shopping, and cinema discounts
- Your birthday off after a year of service and more holiday after five years
- Paid volunteer day
- Refer a friend scheme
- Regular social events, including an annual pool party
- Employee assistance programme – 24/7 advice and support
- Reward and recognition initiatives
What you can bring to the role:
- Previous experience in a luxury spa or wellness environment is essential, and leadership experience overseeing both reception and treatment operations would be preferred
- A passion for hospitality and wellbeing, with the ability to inspire teams to deliver exceptional guest care
- Strong organisational and operational skills, with the ability to balance commercial focus and people leadership
- Excellent communication and relationship‑building abilities, working comfortably with senior stakeholders and cross‑department teams
- A calm, grounded presence that sets the tone for the wider spa environment
- Experience with treatment standards, compliance, and wellness‑related health and safety is highly beneficial
