The Role: 

To provide leadership and support to the Back of House team, ensuring a high standard of cleanliness, safety, and organisation in the kitchen and associated areas. The role requires maintaining operational efficiency while maximising guest satisfaction and upholding company values and standards. 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Plan and organise shifts to ensure optimal service levels and productivity. 
  • Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in line with HACCP, COSHH, and Health & Safety regulations. 
  • Ensure the team has the necessary tools, training, and equipment to perform effectively. 
  • Monitor stock levels, including cleaning materials and kitchen supplies, ensuring correct storage and usage. 
  • Promote and implement operational improvements to enhance efficiency and service delivery. 
  • Support the recruitment, training, and development of Back of House staff. 
  • Enforce high standards of teamwork, professionalism, and guest service across the department. 
  • Communicate clearly with the wider food service team, ensuring seamless coordination. 
  • Maintain security of stock, equipment, and work areas. 
  • Always ensure compliance with company policies and relevant legislation. 
  • Provide feedback and performance evaluations to team members. 
  • Assist in developing and implementing sustainability initiatives to reduce waste and resource consumption. 

What We Desire: 

We are looking for a motivated and proactive individual with strong leadership and organisational skills. The ideal candidate will have: 

  • Previous experience in a Back of House supervisory role within a hospitality or catering environment. 
  • A strong understanding of food hygiene, health & safety, and industry best practices. 
  • The ability to manage a team effectively, inspiring performance and maintaining high standards. 
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. 
  • The ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment. 
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to challenges. 
  • A commitment to teamwork and a collaborative work ethic. 
  • A keen eye for detail and a passion for maintaining high standards of cleanliness and efficiency. 
  • A flexible approach to work, including the ability to work evenings, weekends, and bank holidays as required. 

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Basic Food Hygiene Certification. 
  • Experience in Back of House management or leadership roles. 
  • Knowledge of HACCP, COSHH, and Health & Safety at Work regulations.
