Job Description

Reporting to the Head of Marketing – Hotels.

As Senior Marketing Executive you will, you will be responsible for supporting the Head of Marketing in delivering the Marketing and Communications strategy. The role will oversee day-to-day marketing activities and a broad range of tasks spanning across the full channel mix, as well as be the Marketing POC for two of the Hotels the team support (Hotel Indigo, York and Edinburgh).

You will be a protector of all brands and ensure The Grand is always positioned as a luxury property, and that expectations of IHG, Marriot, and Accor are met for the core hotels. You will be a key point of contact for all hotel teams, with a particular focus on The Grand, Hotel Indigo York & Edinburgh, as well as affiliate partners and suppliers and must ensure a positive and professional working relationship is maintained. Finally, you will work creatively with the Head of Marketing – Hotel as well as support the Heads of Marketing in the two Luxury Properties to ensure the business is always adapting and staying relevant within the market. You will support on administrative tasks when required and support the wider marketing team in times of need.

You will report and monitor successes across all campaigns feeding into commercial decisions made by the Head of Marketing – Hotels.

The Role

• Commercial representative for Hotel Indigo, York & Edinburgh. Monthly calls, monthly reporting and ongoing support.
• Email Marketing – Support Digital Marketing Manager on the strategy and execution of email marketing across Grand, VHH and HIBL – with view to grow this across Hotel Indigo, York & Pasta Evangelists in 2026.
• Reporting & Monitoring – measuring success of current campaigns.
• Photography / Videography – Support shoot days as needed led by Senior Marketing Executive (Vince F), especially when across wider SHG portfolio to ensure that content on brand.com websites is correct and well represented.
• Websites - IHG.com websites for Hotel Indigo’s - ensure content is relevant up to date and audited seasonally. Independent websites (Grand – VHH) where necessary support Digital Marketing Manager with updates.
• PR – attend PR calls for both Grand and SHG hotels, assist and support Marketing Executive in PR process and organisation. Lead on influencer and Journalists visits for the Hotel Indigos’.

The Team

• Growth of social media platforms, in terms of engagement and followers
• Ensure clear and consistent reporting, to show success of campaigns/initiatives
• Drive direct business and conversion on all independent and brand.com sites
• Deliver creative campaigns that contribute to overall Hotels/Revenue Strategy
• Focus on the positioning of all hotels, but specifically Grand and Bankside as new development projects come online in 2026 (SubRosa & New Rooms Collection).
• Identify trends, and adapt approach as needed
• Support all hotel functions to support overall strategy
