We are currently recruiting for a Assistant Night Manager to join our Truly Talented team.
Reporting directly to the Night Manager, this is an exciting role for a talented individual who is looking for career growth and for the opportunity to lead a hardworking team.

Your role
As an Assistant Night Manager, you will support the Night Manager in overseeing the hotel operations during the night, ensuring the smooth running of the Front Office and delivering an exceptional guest experience at all times.
You will assist in supervising, coaching and supporting the night team to provide courteous, efficient and professional service, while maintaining the highest standards in line with our values and mission statement.
You will lead by example, welcoming guests warmly and acting as an ambassador for excellent service, responding to guest requests and queries efficiently and professionally, both face to face and over the telephone.
You will work as part of a busy, hardworking night team and support continuous learning and development within the department.
Responsibilities of an Assistant Night Manager will include but are not limited to:
• Supporting the Night Manager in managing the guest experience to ensure consistently high service standards;
• Assisting with the supervision and coordination of night staff to ensure operational efficiency;
• Helping to control departmental costs by supporting effective scheduling and use of resources;
• Assisting in identifying and implementing opportunities to improve night operations;
• Handling guest requests, issues and complaints in a professional, positive and timely manner, escalating where appropriate;
• Supporting compliance with quality assurance expectations and brand standards;
• Reviewing guest feedback with the Night Manager and contributing ideas to enhance service delivery;
• Working closely and cooperatively with all hotel departments in a courteous and respectful manner;
• Maintaining a friendly, helpful and professional approach toward all guests and using guest names whenever possible;
• Assisting with night audits, hotel safety checks and security procedures to ensure guest and staff safety;
• Supporting clear communication of procedures and operational updates to night team members.
The ideal person for this role will be proactive, detail-focused and supportive, with a positive attitude toward change and teamwork.
The core skills and experience required to succeed
• A genuine passion for the Hospitality Industry;
• Previous experience as a receptionist is required; supervisory experience is desirable;
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to understand and anticipate guest needs;
• Good leadership skills with the ability to support, motivate and guide team members;
• Excellent personal presentation;
• Ability to work independently during night shifts with minimal supervision;
• Strong verbal and written communication skills;
• A flexible, reliable and enthusiastic team player.
You must have the right to work in the UK to be eligible for this role. Documented evidence of eligibility will be required from all candidates prior to commencing employment.
