Job Description

We are seeking a talented and passionate Chef De Partie to join our culinary team in Barrow-in-Furness, United Kingdom. As a key member of our kitchen brigade, you will be responsible for overseeing a specific section of the kitchen, ensuring the highest standards of food preparation and presentation.

  • Prepare and cook dishes according to recipes and standards set by the head chef and sous chef
  • Manage your designated station, overseeing the production of all assigned dishes
  • Maintain high-quality standards for all dishes, ensuring excellent presentation and taste
  • Collaborate effectively with all kitchen team members, providing support where necessary
  • Contribute to menu development by suggesting improvements and innovations
  • Uphold strict food safety and sanitation practices at all times
  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation of your designated area and equipment
  • Assist in stock rotation and inventory management within your section
  • Train and mentor junior kitchen staff as required
  • Adapt to a flexible working pattern to support kitchen operations


Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Chef De Partie, Commis Chef, or in a similar culinary role
  • Culinary diploma or equivalent qualification
  • Up-to-date food hygiene certification
  • Comprehensive knowledge of various cooking techniques and cuisines
  • Strong understanding of food safety and sanitation practices
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including early mornings, evenings, and weekends
  • Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift heavy items when necessary
  • Passion for culinary excellence and commitment to continuous learning
