About the role:
We are looking for a committed and enthusiastic Chef de Partie to join the kitchen team at Royal High School - Bath. You’ll support food preparation, help maintain high standards, and play a vital role in the delivery of daily meals and special events.
You will be joining Holroyd Howe, one of the UK’s leading contract caterers, providing fresh innovative food services solely to independent schools and colleges. We are a team of experienced professionals who tailor our catering service provision specifically to suit children of all ages in order to meet the bespoke requirements of each school.

This role is mostly term time with 4 weeks work for summer school.
This is a boarding school so breakfasts, weekends and evenings (06:30 - 19:30) would be part of your normal work pattern so you must be flexible within these times
Job Description
- Food Preparation – prepare and cook dishes according to the standards set by the head/sous chef; ensuring food safety standards are adhered to at all times
- Station Management – oversee the production of all dishes assigned to your station and upkeep your designated area with supplies and ensure cleanliness in line with policies and procedures
- Quality Control – maintain high quality standards for all dishes, ensuring presentation and taste is considered at all times
- Team Collaboration – communicate effectively with all other team members and assist/support all colleagues where necessary
- Menu Development – collaborate with head chef to develop and taste new recipes, providing suggestions for improvement or innovation
- Cleaning and Maintenance – maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen including your designated area ensuring equipment is in good working order
Qualifications
- Proven experience working in as a Chef de Partie or similar role is essential
- Knowledge of various cooking techniques and cuisines
- Strong understanding of food safety and hygiene practices
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities
- Works according to the Holroyd Howe core values
