Opened in October 2015, Hilton London Bankside represents the next generation of design-led Hilton Hotels. Each part of the property has been carefully created to reflect the fascinating history and ambiance of the surrounding area, combining the authentic urban grittiness and polished contemporary design.

Set in the heart of Bankside, just steps from some of London's most famous landmarks such as Tate Modern, Borough Market and The Shard, Hilton London Bankside is home to 292 stunning guest rooms including 25 bespoke suites which offer breathtaking views of the city skyline. In addition, the hotel brings a new neighbourhood eatery, OXBO Bankside to the area, alongside The Distillery, a cool and casual bar.

The hotel also features Bankside's largest and most exquisite Ballroom accommodating up to 700 guests’ theatre style or 500 in a banquet setting. With a private entrance, a 6-metre-high ceiling, dramatic chandeliers, a balcony and sweeping marble staircase leading to the Bankside Ballroom, this is a spectacular venue for any grand celebration, fashion show, awards ceremony, or corporate event.

Our award-winning, design-led hotel will be adding 76 beautifully crafted new rooms, bringing our total offering to 368 rooms by Q1 2026.

Job Description

Reporting to the People Business Partner (with a matrix line to the People Operations Manager), the People Operations Advisor – Luxury Hotels plays a key role in delivering high-quality, on-site People support within a luxury hospitality setting. This role bridges the gap between hotel operations and the People Operations Centre, ensuring that all transactional People activity is well-managed and that People Managers are confident and capable in their responsibilities.

The People Advisor – Luxury works closely with the People Operations Centre, Group Head of Talent, and Group Head of Learning & Development to ensure a joined-up approach to people processes including employee relations, onboarding, and learning within the hotel.

In addition to supporting day-to-day People operations, the People Advisor, Luxury leads localised people projects that enhance the luxury guest experience through embedding employee experience, team engagement, development, and culture. The role requires strong stakeholder management, attention to detail, and a passion for delivering excellence through people.

Role in our Family

Deliver Core People Support On-Site - Provide day-to-day People support within the hotel, ensuring all people-related transactional activities are completed accurately, efficiently, and in line with company standards.
Coach and Support People Managers/ Supervisors - Act as the first point of contact for People Managers, coaching and guiding them to effectively manage People processes through the People Operations Centre. Escalate complex or high-risk matters to the People Business Partner – Hotels or People Operations Manager as appropriate.
Champion People Operations Centre Collaboration - Work closely with the People Operations Manager and People Operations Centre to ensure seamless coordination of transactional People activities and adherence to agreed workflows.
Manage Stakeholder Relationships - Build strong, trusted relationships with the Hotel Management Team, supporting with people-related matters and ensuring alignment with luxury service standards. Act as a key link between hotel operations and the wider People Team.
Drive Localised People Projects – Contribute to and deliver bespoke, value-adding people initiatives that enhance the luxury guest and team member experience, aligned with the hotel’s brand and culture. Act as the lead for any localised, bespoke people related matters within the hotel.
Support Employee Relations and Compliance - Manage low-risk ER cases locally, ensuring accurate documentation and timely escalation where appropriate. Maintain compliance with employment law and internal policies.
Coordinate Onboarding and Induction - Ensure new starters are welcomed and onboarded effectively, with a focus on delivering a luxury experience from day one.
Support Learning & Development Activities - Collaborate with the Group Head of L&D to coordinate training and development initiatives tailored to the luxury hotel environment.
Maintain People Systems and Data – Embrace existing and evolving technology, ensuring accurate and timely updates to People systems, supporting data integrity, reporting requirements and providing the required training and support for managers to embrace and embed tech solutions.
