Forest Hospital is an independent mental health hospital in Mansfield, supporting 30 patients with a variety of mental health conditions. This is a unique opportunity for an Art Therapist to join us for 5 hours per week, where you will work alongside an experienced and friendly team to achieve our ambition of supporting patients to celebrate life and encourage socialization, self-esteem, and memory-retrieval. Using a specialised form of Psychotherapy, the role of our Art Therapist will be to improve the emotional wellbeing, quality of life, and self-expression of patients.
ABOUT YOU
This exciting role offers an experienced Art Therapist the opportunity to provide significant benefits to detained and non-detained patients living with various mental health conditions. We are looking for the following skills/attributes to compliment the team:
Experienced Art Therapist
Ability to design results-focussed art therapy sessions that are uniquely tailored to patients
Passionate about improving the experience of patients in a mental health setting
Skilled at interacting empathetically with patients and visitors
