Job Description
As Chef de Rang at Legacy, you will play a key role in supporting the Restaurant Manager and the wider front of house team in delivering exceptional, polished service that complements our award-winning cuisine. You will assist in the smooth running of service, uphold the highest standards of presentation and professionalism, and ensure every guest receives attentive, personalised care.
This position is ideal for a hospitality professional with a passion for fine dining and a desire to grow within a 3 AA Rosette environment.

Role in our Family
Our team are the heart and soul of The Grand, without them The Grand is just a beautiful building. We pride ourselves on the warmth of our Yorkshire welcome that each one of our guests receive. As a Chef de Rang, key to your role will be:
- Support the Restaurant Manager in the daily operation of the restaurant, ensuring each service runs seamlessly.
- Deliver refined, intuitive, and professional service consistent with 3 AA Rosette standards.
- Provide attentive and knowledgeable guest care, assisting with menu guidance and wine pairings alongside the Sommelier team.
- Assist with pre-service briefings, mise en place, and closing duties to ensure the restaurant is always service ready.
- Communicate effectively with kitchen and bar teams to guarantee smooth coordination and timing.
- Maintain excellent product knowledge, including menu items, ingredients, and preparation methods.
- Support and guide junior team members, setting a positive example in service and attitude.
- Uphold The Grand’s grooming, presentation, and hygiene standards at all times.
- Handle guest requests and feedback with professionalism, ensuring issues are resolved promptly and with care.
About You
- Experience in a fine dining or luxury hotel restaurant, ideally at 3 AA Rosette or Michelin level.
- Passion for food, wine, and delivering exceptional guest experiences.
- Strong communication skills and a naturally warm, professional manner.
- Team-focused, dependable, and composed under pressure.
- Ambitious, with a desire to learn and grow within The Grand and Splendid Hospitality Group.
