Breakfast Assistant

Dakota Hotel based in Eurocentral, Motherwell are seeking a morning person and outgoing personality for the role of Restaurant Waitress/Waiter to work our Breakfast service. Typically finishing by midday, this role is ideal for those with evening commitments.

Our location, Parklands Ave, Motherwell ML1 4WQ, is just off the M8 motorway in Maxim Business Park at the Eurocentral Junction, we are a 92-bedroom boutique hotel which boasts a destination Bar & Grill restaurant as well as a newly built wedding events space.

Our location is easily accessible by car and we offer complimentary parking for both employees and guests. Additionally, there are frequent buses using the CityLink 900 route, only 20 minutes from Buchanan St Bus Station directly to our hotel.
 

CONTRACT AND PAY RATE 

• The role carries a permanent contract with 30 hours per week.
• Typical shifts will start between 6am - 7am, working any 5 days out of 7, including working weekends. 
• Pay rate is national minimum wage plus tronc payments which are at least £1.50 per hour 

PRIMARY ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES 

•  Greet all guests as they come into the Grill, offering and serving tea, coffee and toast before taking their breakfast order.
• Carry out the role of a section waiter/waitress, providing table service, taking guest orders and running large trays of delicious food to guest tables. 
• Provide the highest levels of guest service, offering personalised dish and beverage recommendations, and delivering a memorable dining experience. 
• Work closely with the Bar and Kitchen team to ensure the effective flow of communication. 
• Maintain a comprehensive level of knowledge of our current breakfast menu to be able to offer guests recommendations, including understanding the allergens presence in dishes.

APPLICANT REQUIREMENTS 

The successful applicant will have/be: 

• At least 1 year working experience, ideally in a hospitality environment. 
• Having previous waiting or coffee shop experience is strongly preferred.
• A sociable person who enjoys early morning starts.
• An enthusiastic individual who will promote our culture of positivity.  
• Be task oriented with a great pride for the work they do and attention to detail. 
• Flexible with shift patterns and available around the needs of our business.  
• Successful candidates must demonstrate having researched our brand and a genuine desire to be part of our team.
