Painter and Decorator
Can you bring an eye for detail and personal pride to the appearance of our gorgeous and grand property?
As a Painter and Decorator you work within the “heart of the house” and use your craft and flair to keep the iconic Grand Hotel Birmingham to the high standard befitting such a landmark.
What the role will do
• Perform routine and refurbishment painting and decorating to a high standard
• Complete all PPM schedules alongside weekly and monthly checklists
• Operate machinery with care and caution and use chemical products correctly as trained and directed
• Keep an inventory of painting and decorating supplies and equipment
• Be flexible to jump into any role within the maintenance department when needed
• Contribute to creating a warm and welcoming environment for our guests and colleagues
What you can bring to the role
• Must have a stong painting and decorating skillset with knowledge and experience in a similar role
• Proactive mind-set and keen attention to detail
• Promote a positive attitude and display the ability to ‘make things happen’ to achieve or exceed anticipated results
• Strong organisational, time management and communication skills
• Due to the nature of the work, the ideal candidate would be fully flexible in their approach to work and be able to work shift patterns through weekdays and weekends
