About the Role:

We’re seeking a dynamic and experienced operational leader to oversee the delivery of domestic and housekeeping services across a large, multi-site healthcare environment in the South West. This is a pivotal role within a high-performing facilities team, ensuring services are safe, effective, and aligned with the National Standards of Healthcare Cleanliness 2025.

You’ll lead a sizeable workforce, manage complex logistics, and drive continuous improvement across cleaning, decontamination, and support services. With a strong focus on compliance, stakeholder engagement, and team development, you’ll be instrumental in shaping a culture of excellence and professionalism.

This is a hybrid role, requiring a minimum of three days per week on site, with the remainder worked remotely.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Lead daily operations across multiple sites, ensuring high standards of cleanliness and infection control
  • Monitor performance against KPIs and respond rapidly to incidents and outbreaks
  • Manage contracts with external suppliers and oversee budgetary controls
  • Champion health and safety, compliance, and risk management across all service areas
  • Provide visible leadership to supervisors and frontline teams, supporting recruitment, training, and wellbeing
  • Collaborate with internal and external partners to ensure seamless service delivery

Who We’re Looking For:

  • A confident and resilient leader with experience managing large domestic or housekeeping teams
  • Skilled in performance management, workforce planning, and service improvement
  • Knowledgeable in healthcare cleaning standards, infection prevention, and facilities compliance
  • IOSH Managing Safely certified, with a relevant management qualification (e.g. ILM Level 3/4)
  • A natural communicator with strong stakeholder focus and a commitment to equality, diversity, and inclusion
