As a Catering Assistant, you will play a key role in providing nutritious and delicious meals for our students and staff. You will work as part of a small, friendly team, supporting the Head Chef in the smooth running of the kitchen and dining hall. .
Key responsibilities include:

Food Preparation: Assisting with basic food preparation, including washing, peeling, and chopping ingredients.

Serving: Serving meals to students and staff in a friendly and professional manner.

Cleaning: Ensuring the kitchen, dining hall, and all catering equipment are kept clean and hygienic.

Stock Management: Assisting with receiving deliveries and storing food and supplies correctly.

Health & Safety: Adhering to all food safety and health and safety regulations.
Located in Burnley, our alternative provision provides a supportive and nurturing environment for students who have faced challenges in mainstream education. Requirements-
Experience in a catering or food service role is highly desirable.

A positive, can-do attitude and the ability to work well in a team.

Strong knowledge of food hygiene and safety is essential (e.g., Level 2 Food Safety certificate).

Excellent time management and organisational skills.

A reliable and punctual approach.
