Assistant Catering Manager

About the Role

Absolute Taste is looking for a talented Assistant Catering Manager to join our team and help lead the day-to-day operations of our retail food truck unit. This hands-on role focuses on front-of-house (FOH) operations, team leadership, and client engagement—with the ultimate goal of delivering outstanding food and service experiences onsite.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage all FOH operations, including staffing, scheduling, and inventory management.

• Support sales and profitability through cost control, upselling strategies, and promotions.

• Work closely with the Kitchen Manager to ensure smooth coordination between FOH and culinary teams.

• Foster a positive, inclusive team culture through coaching, training, and development.

• Ensure compliance with all company policies, health and safety standards, and operational procedures.

• Handle customer inquiries, feedback, and complaints with professionalism and empathy.

• Collaborate with clients to coordinate on-site activations that increase engagement and drive revenue.

• Work cross-functionally with other departments to deliver catering solutions for business and client lunches—growing our footprint and exceeding expectations.

• Previous experience in catering, hospitality, or food truck operations.
