We are currently recruiting for a Cluster Purchase Ledger Assistant to join our Truly Talented team.

The Role
As a Cluster Purchase Ledger Assistant, you will be responsible for managing the purchase ledger function for Manchester Marriott Hotel Piccadilly and Edinburgh Marriott Hotel Holyrood. Based in the Manchester office (no remote working or travel required), you will process invoices, reconcile supplier accounts, manage payments, and provide financial support across both properties. You will also assist the finance team with reporting and analysis to help drive informed decision-making and efficiencies.
The core skills and experience required to succeed:
- Strong experience in purchase ledger/accounts payable, with the ability to manage the invoice processing cycle end-to-end;
- A structured and detail-oriented approach to reconciliations, supplier statement matching, and maintaining accurate financial records;
- Experience in producing supplier spend analysis and margin reporting, with the ability to highlight trends and provide clear recommendations;
- Confidence in supporting and training Heads of Departments on finance systems, including delivering effective training remotely via Teams;
- Previous experience in handling supplier payments, ensuring all checks and approvals are in place and payments are processed on schedule;
- Strong proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel, with the ability to analyse data and prepare clear, actionable reports;
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with finance and non-finance colleagues at all levels;
- Highly organised, able to manage multiple priorities across different properties, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment;
- A collaborative and proactive team player with strong problem-solving skills, accuracy, and integrity;
- Previous hospitality experience preferred but not essential;
You must have the right to work in the UK to be eligible for this role. Documented evidence of eligibility will be required from all candidates prior to commencing employment.
