Reporting to the Director of Groups, Meetings and Events, London you will be responsible for re-active lead management, selling and revenue conversion within the reactive Groups, Meetings and Events team for The Doyle Collection portfolio consisting of The Marylebone, The Bloomsbury, and The Kensington.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Enquiry inbox management - qualify groups, meeting and events enquiries, distribute enquiries to the team, prioritisation of enquiries based on sales strategy.
  • Achieve revenue and KPI targets set and agreed upon on a monthly/quarterly and annual basis.
  • Achieve set groups, meetings and events revenue budgets (team goal).
  • Thorough understanding of groups, meetings and events sales strategy and effective rate yielding to maximise revenue.
  • Enquiry handling and conversion, aiming to achieve a response time within 4hrs Uk & 12hrs International.
  • Lead by example and follow up on proposals within 48 hours then suitable timeframes to ensure conversion of enquiries and management of the pipeline of business at enquiry status.
  • Lead pricing negotiations with customers to ensure maximum conversion to achieve monthly budgets.
  • Actively cross-sell The Doyle Collection during initial enquiry to ensure clients are exposed to the London portfolio, when appropriate.
  • Issue and negotiate groups, meeting and events contracts.
  • Prepare a thorough handover of contracted bookings to the planning team.
  • Lead daily morning meeting for sales executives to understand day priorities in order to achieve enquiry response times.Ensure PCI guidelines are followed when obtaining deposits and payments through secure methods.
  • Conduct site inspections at each of the Hotels, following guidelines set. Demonstrate detailed knowledge of venue capacities, operational capabilities and upselling oppportunities.
  • Assist with the creation and maintenance of department SOP’s.
  • Contribute knowledge and experience towards teams Groups, Meetings and Events budget.
  • Assist in on-the-job training and development at the executive level, to raise the level of performance within the Groups, Meetings and Events team.
  • Champion specialised segments as agreed upon with the support of the Director of Groups, Meetings and Events. Ie Venue Directory, Cvent, HeadBox
  • Support and champion the integrity of Thynk/Opera Sales & Catering processes within The London Collection.
  • Assist with projects relating to the department, including supporting the implementation of new technology.
  • Build strong relationships with the proactive sales team, general managers, revenue team and operations teams at each hotel. Work in collaboration with all departments to ensure the success of business conversion through efficient communication.
  • Be knowledgeable and connected to the local marketplace.
