Job Description
Join our dynamic food service team in Glasgow, United Kingdom, for an exciting maternity cover opportunity! We're looking for a friendly and efficient Food Service Team Member to provide exceptional customer service and maintain high food quality standards in our fast-paced environment.
- Greet and serve customers in a friendly and professional manner
- Take and process customer orders accurately and efficiently
- Prepare and present food items according to company standards
- Handle cash transactions and operate point-of-sale systems
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the food service area
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during peak hours
- Adhere to food safety and hygiene regulations at all times
- Assist in restocking supplies and organising storage areas
- Respond promptly to customer inquiries and resolve any issues
- Participate in team meetings and training sessions to enhance skills and knowledge
The working shifts are: Monday to Friday - 7am till 3pm cover starts in October to the end of July 2026 to cover Maternity leave with scope to progress on to another role within the company.
Qualifications
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly and positive attitude
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Basic math skills for cash handling and order processing
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds
- Flexibility to work and cover holidays & sicknessess
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in food service or customer-facing role preferred
- Food safety certification preferred
- Knowledge of food allergies and dietary restrictions a plus
- Team player with a willingness to learn and adapt to new situations
