Bar Manager - Sports Venue

Are you passionate about hospitality and ready to lead in a dynamic, fast-paced environment? My client is a Sports Club and they are seeking a driven and experienced Bar Manager to take charge of the bar operations across matchdays and non-matchday events.

This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in shaping the fan experience and driving innovation in the bar services.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the delivery of exceptional service across all bar areas within the Club.
• Oversee inventory, product delivery, and customer satisfaction, especially on matchdays.
• Collaborate with Marketing and Media teams to grow the brand.
• Recruit, train, and manage bar staff in partnership with HR.
• Identify and implement process improvements and innovative bar concepts.
• Report to the board on performance, successes, and areas for improvement.
• Build strong relationships with fans and ensure a welcoming atmosphere.
• Manage budgets and ensure financial targets are met.
• Work closely with other departments to ensure seamless operations.

What We’re Looking For

• Degree-level education or equivalent experience.
• Proven background in bar or hospitality management.
• Experience in a professional sports environment is a strong advantage.
• Strong business acumen and understanding of bar operations.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
• A track record of exceeding sales targets and managing large budgets.
• Proficiency in IT systems and reporting tools.
• A proactive, self-motivated approach with the flexibility to work outside standard hours.
