The Arts Club, is seeking dynamic and dedicated Shift Engineers to join our growing team. Successful candidate will support the smooth running of the Club in its daily operations. They will also need to be able to identify areas for improvement within the Club; in respect of general upkeep, fix issues, upgrading of equipment and facilities, monitoring of heating and lighting. The ideal candidate will be electrical bias along with knowledge of plumbing and gas.
Main Responsibilities:
- To achieve high operating standards consistent with the corporate values and objectives
- Diagnose mechanical problems and determine how to correct them, checking blueprints, repair manuals, and parts catalogues as necessary
- To support the Chief Engineer and Shift Engineers in the order, store & maintenance of sufficient stock to supply the Club with the necessary resources to operate effectively.
- Assemble, install and/or repair wiring, electrical, and electronic components, pipe systems and plumbing, machinery, and equipment.
- Paint and repair roofs, doors, floors, woodwork, plaster, drywall, and other parts of building structure.
- To ensure compliance with relevant and current legislation at all times whilst at work
- To update departmental risk assessment(s) in accordance with changes to standard operating procedures and legal reuirements.
Inspect, operate, and test machinery and equipment in order to diagnose machine malfunctions.
