Main Purpose:

The Deputy Head Housekeeper is ensuring that the highest standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and presentation are maintained throughout the hotel. This is a hands-on role involving supervising the housekeeping team, managing inventory, and ensuring a comfortable and pleasant environment for all guests.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily activities to ensure efficient operations.
  • Perform regular inspections of guest rooms and public areas.
  • Monitor and manage inventory of cleaning supplies and guest amenities.
  • Place orders and conduct regular inventory checks.
  • Ensure high levels of guest satisfaction through attention to detail.
  • Assist in preparing staff schedules and maintaining accurate attendance records.
  • Ensure adherence to health and safety regulations and hotel policies.
  • Coordinate with other departments for smooth operations and events.
  • Assist in all aspects of housekeeping management as needed.
  • Prepare reports on housekeeping performance and standards.

Essential:

  • Previous experience in a 5* Hotel is mandatory.
  • Must lead by example, recognising when to 'manage' and when to 'lead'
  • Good communication skills
  • Business-oriented and a natural attitude towards providing excellent quality service
  • Self-organised with attention to detail
  • Hands On Attitude
