We are looking for an experienced Sous Chef to join a privately owned and poplar gastro pub based near Dunmow. This gastro operation is set against a romantic country backdrop, and is a favourite of not just local, but also traveling custom.

The Restaurant

· Serves a traditional pub classics

· The restaurant offers a cosy and rustic dining experience

· Conveniently situated close to Dunmow, Bishops Stortford, Harlow and Chelmsford

The Role

· As Sous Chef you will be expected to work closely with the Head Chef to ensure that every aspect of the service runs smoothly

· Supervising and supporting other staff.

· Be a competent and comfortable running the team when left in charge.

The ideal Sous Chef

· We are looking for an enthusiastic self-motivated professional chef

· Good all round kitchen skills,

· Attention to detail and a real passion for food.

· You will have kitchen management experience with a can-do attitude to work and must be prepared to & muck in where needed.

· Will have a minimum of 3 years experience at this level

· NVQ qualified or equivalent, preferred in professional cookery

· Level 2 Health and Hygiene certificate

. Will be a car driver as this is essential due to location
