Food Service Assistant

• To assist with the preparation, presentation, service and cleaning of the site to the company’s standard and the client’s satisfaction
• To assist as directed with all aspects of food service preparation and presentation
• To serve customers in the appropriate manner
• To lead and provide food and beverages at service counters and to ensure sufficient supplies throughout the service periods
• To take money at cash desks, ensure current prices are charged and reconcile cash takings where appropriate
• To ensure that the meals and services comply with the agreed budgetary standard and cost.
• To ensure restaurant tables and service areas are left clean and adequately stocked during service times and replenished as required
• To ensure your immediate working area is clean and tidy at all times
• To undertake all aspects in cleaning equipment, walls, fixtures and fittings, pots, pans, cutlery, glassware etc according to cleaning rotas or as required and directed
• To ensure that all stores and other areas of potential loss are secured at all times.
• To carry out any reasonable management request
• To receive and implement any training required
• To assist at any special duties or functions which may fall outside of normal working hours
• To report any customer complaints or compliments and take remedial action wherever possible
• To attend meetings, courses and training sessions as may be necessary from time to time
• To relieve and assist in other areas within the unit or other establishments.

Experience:

• Clean and well presented
• Plesant and engaging team member
• Ability to work unsupervised and as part of a team
• Previous food service experience
• Ability to operate a till
• COSHH and Manual handling
• Good communicator
