Are you passionate about food and thrive in a fast-paced kitchen environment? We’re looking for an energetic and organised Head Runner to join our team at The George and take charge of the pass alongside the runners and chefs in our team.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Head Runner looking for a new role in an award winning, critically acclaimed group.

The Restaurant

The second venue from the team behind Chelsea’s The Cadogan Arms, The George is a grade II listed building in the heart of Fitzrovia, dating back to 1738. Situated over three floors, an intensive renovation has seen the ground floor pub restored to its former glory with cask ales, craft beers, seasonal cocktails and wines on tap.

In the dining room a regularly changing food menu focuses on seasonality, provenance and quality with simple dishes, executed to the standard of Culinary Director James Knappett of two-Michelin star Kitchen Table, who works alongside Executive Chef, Alex Harper.

The Position

The right Head Runner will be:
• Acting as the key link between kitchen and front-of-house during service
• Managing the pass and ensuring every dish leaves the kitchen to spec and on time
• Communicating dish components to front-of-house teams, explaining new menu items when needed
• Working closely with the chefs to arrange and manage tickets for smooth and efficient service
• Upholding excellent food hygiene and health & safety standards
• Staying calm and focused under pressure while keeping service flowing

• A genuine passion for food and guest satisfaction
• Previous experience in a similar role or busy kitchen environment
• Exceptional organisation and communication skills
• The ability to think fast, act fast, and work well under pressure
• A hands-on, positive attitude and strong work ethic
