About the Role

St Dunstan’s College is a prestigious co-educational school in South East London, known for its progressive approach and strong community ethos. We are currently seeking a dedicated Engagement and Hospitality Chef to support the school’s food service and lead on all hospitality-related catering.

This is a key role focused on delivering exceptional food for school events, guest visits, staff functions, and formal occasions, alongside contributing to daily operations.

A Hospitality and Engagement Chef is responsible for creating exceptional food experiences tailored to a range of events, from formal dinners to community celebrations. In hospitality settings, this role involves crafting bespoke menus, showcasing culinary flair, and ensuring that every event reflects both quality and attention to detail—leaving a lasting impression on guests. Engagement is key: building strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and guests to deliver consistently memorable experiences.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Preparing and serving fresh, high-quality food daily for students and staff

  • Leading on the delivery of hospitality and event catering

  • Maintaining excellent standards of food presentation and customer service

  • Working collaboratively with the catering and wider school teams

  • Ensuring all food safety, hygiene, and allergen requirements are met



Qualifications

About You

  • Strong background in hospitality or event catering, ideally within education or similar environments

  • Passionate about food and delivering memorable service experiences

  • Excellent communication, planning, and kitchen organisation skills

  • Level 2 Food Safety (minimum); additional training can be provided

  • A proactive and flexible team player
