Salary: £12.90 an hour plus quarterly bonus plan (after successful completion of probationary period)

The successful candidate will work collaboratively as part of a small Events Department, reporting into the Senior Events Manager, responding to enquiries from our national sales team, in order to develop knowledge and understanding of booking of events at our hotel.

Although some previous event experience would be beneficial, it is not essential for this role as you will be supported with opportunities for training and development for you to be able to support proactive research and account management, support show rounds for potential bookings and complete on property booking of events via our booking system. Main Duties:

·         Ownership for the management and conversion of assigned enquiries

·         Coordination of all customer requirements, including communication and completing verbally and in writing with the customer the details of an event up to handover to operations on the day of event execution.

·         Work with the Sales Executive and Sales Event Manager to support and develop knowledge of menu planning, food presentation, meeting room set ups, audio-visual and banquet service standards.

·         Correct use of systems processes to ensure booking integrity, consistency & accuracy.

·         Sells to a pre-determined event and group strategy

·         Works within brand standards & systems processes

·         Generate incremental revenue and deliver excellent guest service.

·         Supports the Sales Executive in compelling show rounds to win the business

·         Proactively resolicits previous customers and event bookers for future opportunities
