?‍? About the Role

As Senior Sous Chef, you’ll play a pivotal role in leading our large kitchen team alongside the Head Chef. This is a hands-on role for a natural leader with a creative flair and a commitment to culinary excellence.

You'll help shape the culinary direction of the kitchen, from daily service to bespoke menu development, seasonal specials, and event catering – always ensuring the highest standards of consistency and quality.

? What You’ll Do

• Support and deputise for the Head Chef in all aspects of kitchen management

• Lead, mentor, and motivate a large, talented team of chefs and kitchen porters

• Design and deliver bespoke, seasonal menus that excite and inspire

• Maintain full compliance with food safety, hygiene, and health & safety standards

• Oversee stock control, ordering, and cost management

• Drive innovation while protecting our pub’s reputation for quality and consistency

? What We’re Looking For

• Proven experience as a Sous Chef or Senior Sous Chef in a high-volume, quality-led kitchen

• Exceptional leadership and organisational skills

• Passion for fresh, seasonal ingredients and innovative menu design

• Calm under pressure with excellent communication skills

• Ability to nurture and develop junior team members

• Strong commercial awareness and attention to detail
