An opportunity to join the sales team at The River Lee is now available for a passionate and proactive hospitality professional who wants to progress their career.
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Meetings and Events Co-ordinator to join our team. This role is responsible for the co-ordination and smooth delivery of all meetings, conferences, weddings, and special events hosted in the hotel. You will work closely with clients, the sales team, and all operational departments to ensure that every event is executed to the highest standards.
This role will be working closely, and in support of the Event Sales Manager, as well as all onsite operational team members with a direct line to the Director of Sales & marketing.
Key responsibilities of the role will include:
• Working closely with the Events Sales Manager to manage all aspects of the reactive Meeting and Events sales department
• Coordinate all aspects of events from initial enquiry to post-event follow-up
• Conduct site inspections with potential clients
• Prepare detailed function sheets and ensure all departments are briefed accordingly
• Manage the Sales office main email inbox
• Host the events floor as required
• Liaise with clients to understand event requirements, providing expert guidance and support
• Monitor the delivery of events to ensure quality service and customer satisfaction
• Manage last-minute changes and client requests professionally and efficiently
• Collaborate with F&B, kitchen, housekeeping, and front office teams for seamless event execution
• Maintain accurate records of bookings, contracts, and correspondence through CRM system
Key preferred requirments:
• Previous experience in event coordination or hospitality (1–2 years ideally in a hotel setting).
• Strong organisational and time management skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple events simultaneously.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; experience with hotel booking/event software is a plus (e.g., Opera or similar).
• Flexibility to work evenings or weekends based on event schedule.
• A positive, can-do attitude and a passion for hospitality.
