Pasta Chef

We are currently recruiting for a Pasta Chef to work in a new Pizza restaurant opening in the Royston area.

Job specification

You will ideally have experience of working as a Pasta Chef and able to create pasta dishes from scratch ensuring all the ingredients are fresh and well presented. The location of the restaurant is very rural so you must have use of a car.

Ideal candidate will have

• Able to construct pasta dishes from pasta dough and shaping pasta types as well as making sauces and fillings to order
• Cooking pasta dishes, delivering consistency in taste, texture and presentation.
• Maintaining high standards of food quality and freshness.
• Ensuring work stations are kept clean and tidy and all food hygiene protocols are adhered to at all times.
• Able to deliver consistency in each dish according to the menu.

Essential skills

• Good knowledge of pasta making techniques
• Food hygiene, health & safety knowledge.
• Proficiency in cooking skills, boiling, grilling and a good sense of taste.
• Attention to detail, ensuring quality of product is prepared and presented to high standard.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Flexible approach to working and able to motivate your staff team.
• Able to work weekends and evenings when required.
• Knife knowledge would be advantageous
