Care Home Chef - Residential Care Nursing & Dementia CareLocation: FavershamHours: 7:00 AM - 3:30 PMSchedule: 28 hours per week (3 days one week, 4 days the next) + every other weekendPay: £13.50 per hour

About the Role:We are seeking a reliable and motivated Care Home Chef to join our team at a residential care home in Faversham. This role involves preparing nutritious, well-balanced meals catering to residents with nursing and dementia care needs. The ideal candidate will have experience working in a care home environment or similar setting, with a passion for providing delicious meals that meet dietary requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and cook meals according to nutritional guidelines and dietary needs of residents

• Ensure high standards of hygiene and food safety are maintained at all times

• Work closely with care staff to accommodate special diets and preferences

• Manage kitchen inventory and ordering supplies

• Assist with menu planning and food presentation

Requirements:

• Previous experience as a chef, preferably in a care home or healthcare setting

• Understanding of dietary needs for elderly residents, including those with dementia

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Food hygiene certification (desirable)

• Reliable, friendly, and flexible attitude
