Live-in Senior Housekeeper in Highgate

Our private clients a lovely family of 4 with pets (a Cat & Dog), are seeking a Live-in Senior Housekeeper for their main property in Highgate.

The family have a second smaller property that is used as a staff quarter with laundry room and some additional guest bedrooms that are occasionally occupied when the family hosts. The family also employ a Cleaner, Chef, PA and House Manager.

The ideal Senior Housekeeper will be highly experienced and have 5+ years' experience in a similar role with dynamic duties. Above all, the Housekeeper will be flexible, easy going and happy to work as part of a close-knit team and get stuck-in where needed to ensure the smooth running of family life.

Duties will include –

• Daily hands-on cleaning, tidying, and care of the residence to very high standards
• Supervision of cleaner
• Managing household routines in line with the Principal’s schedule
• Laundry and wardrobe care including ironing, folding, minor repairs, seasonal rotation, etc
• Packing and unpacking for travel
• Meeting and greeting guests
• Household organisation including pantry, fridges, condiments, and bin management
• Monitoring condition of household items, antiques, art, and sculptures
• Handling household admin: deliveries, errands, meeting and greeting contractors, kitchen/laundry inventories
• Pet care: daily dog walking, feeding pets, and maintaining their areas
• Occasional simple, family style cooking
• Table setting and simple service
• Grocery/ household shopping, restocking larder, etc
• Supporting the family’s teenage children with schedules
• Any other duty in relation to the upkeep and smooth running of the residence

Accommodation: Self-contained 1-bedroom flat (within the second smaller property)

Start date: ASAP

Working days & hours: Monday – Friday, 9am – 8pm (with several breaks in the day)

Salary: £45,000 - £50,000 gross per year (depending on experience)

Unless otherwise specified a minimum of 2 years relevant experience is required to receive the advertised rate of pay.
