About the Role:
Are you an experienced and passionate Chef Manager looking to take ownership of a well-run kitchen within one of London’s prestigious independent schools?
This is an exciting opportunity to lead the catering team, overseeing daily food service, team management, and kitchen operations. You’ll work closely with the school and your catering team to deliver fresh, nutritious meals that meet the highest standards - ranging from breakfast and lunch to hospitality events.

Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
Leading and managing the daily catering operations to deliver exceptional food and service
Inspiring and developing your kitchen team to uphold high culinary and operational standards
Planning and delivering fresh, seasonal, and nutritious menus in line with school preferences and dietary needs
Coordinating hospitality and school event catering, ensuring smooth delivery and excellent presentation
Overseeing food safety, hygiene, and allergen compliance across all service areas
Managing stock control, ordering processes, and driving a reduction in food waste
Ensuring full compliance with Health & Safety and Food Hygiene regulations at all times
Qualifications
Candidate Requirements:
Proven experience working as a Chef Manager, ideally within an independent school setting
Strong knowledge of diverse cooking techniques, seasonal produce, and menu planning
Solid understanding of food safety, allergen management, and health & safety regulations
Ability to lead effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
Excellent attention to detail, time management, and organisational skills
Strong communication and leadership skills with a collaborative, team-focused approach
