Brand Head of Finance - JKS Head Office
Salary - Up to £90,000 pa
Schedule - Full Time
Experience - Previous experience in hospitality or restaurant multi-site environments at this level or similar
As we transition to brand-led operating models, we're evolving our finance leadership to match. This newly created role will serve as the end-to-end finance lead for one of our core restaurant brands - overseeing both financial control and commercial finance.
You’ll work closely with the Brand MD, Operations Director, and other senior stakeholders, while maintaining a strong connection to the central finance team. This is a hands-on, commercially focused role, ideal for a finance leader who’s confident in the detail but always thinking strategically.
The Group
JKS Restaurants was founded by siblings Jyotin, Karam, and Sunaina Sethi in November 2008. Since its inception, the group has received critical acclaim and industry recognition, including 7 Michelin stars, 4 Michelin Bib Gourmands, a restaurant ranked among the World’s 100 Best Restaurants, and a spot in the Sunday Times Best 100 Places to Work 2024.
The JKS portfolio currently features Michelin-starred restaurants such as Trishna, Gymkhana, Kitchen Table, Sabor, and Lyle’s, along with cult favourites Hoppers, BAO, Brigadiers, Berenjak, Plaza Khao Gaeng, Speedboat Bar, Bibi, and Ambassadors Clubhouse. Pubs include The Cadogan Arms, The George and The Hound.
JKS Restaurants offers a unique opportunity to pursue a career in fine dining or to develop within trend-focused casual cuisine, with opportunities across all disciplines for those looking to advance their careers within a people-focused, collaborative hospitality group.
The Position
As Brand Head of Finance, you’ll be joining at a pivotal time of change, with finance positioned as a true partner to brand operations. This role offers the autonomy of owning a full finance remit, while staying plugged into a high-performing central team. You’ll help shape how we work, grow, and succeed from the inside out.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Control & Core Reporting -
- Own the end-to-end monthly management accounts process for the brand — including timely P&L, balance sheet and cashflow reporting, robust balance sheet reconciliations, and a well-controlled month-end close aligned with Group deadlines.
- Manage day-to-day cashflow and working capital, flagging risks and supporting spend decisions
- Maintain and report on site-level capex schedules, ensuring transparency and alignment with Group
- Act as the primary point of contact for all day-to-day finance queries across the brand
- Lead and support the development of a small brand finance team, including a Management Accountant and Accounts Assistant, as they progress in their roles and work toward professional qualifications.
- Ensure audit readiness and compliance with Group financial policies and internal control frameworks
Commercial Finance, FP&A & Business Partnering -
- Act as the lead finance business partner to the Brand MD and Ops Director; participate in senior stakeholder and brand forums, as the financial voice at the table
- Lead annual budgeting and reforecasting across P&L, labour, site contribution, variable costs and capex
- Provide weekly and monthly performance insights, surfacing risks and opportunities across trading, margins, and cost control
- Own labour cost forecasting, rota modelling, tronc planning and related analysis - ensuring fairness, clarity and operational alignment
- Model and track bonus schemes in partnership with People and Ops teams, ensuring they drive the right behaviours
- Provide decision support on promotions, pricing, menu engineering, operating models and new openings
What We’re Looking For -
- Qualified accountant (CIMA, ACA, ACCA) with 5+ years of post-qualified experience in commercially focused finance roles
- Experience in hospitality or restaurant multi-site environments is essential
- Proven ability to influence, challenge and support non-finance stakeholders in fast-paced, decentralised environments
- Strong analytical and modelling skills with a proactive, commercially-minded approach
- Confident presenting financial insight to senior leaders and constructively challenging assumptions
- Able to balance strategic thinking with attention to operational detail
- Resilient, agile and hands-on - thrives in dynamic, growing settings
- Advanced Excel skills; experience with BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Tenzo) is a plus
