Join Our Team as a Cook at a Vibrant Day Nursery! Temporary contract

Are you passionate about creating delicious meals for little ones? Do you have a flair for cooking and a commitment to food hygiene? If so, we have the perfect opportunity for you! We are looking for a dedicated Cook to join our warm and welcoming team at a day nursery in Kendal, where you will play a key role in providing nutritious meals for our delightful group of 32 children.

Key Details:

• Position: Cook
• Location: Kendal (just a few minutes walk from the train station!)
• Contract Type: Temporary
• Start Date: June 19, 2025
• End Date: June 27, 2025
• Working Pattern: Part Time (4 hours a day from 9:30 AM to 1:30 PM)
• Driving Required: No

What You'll Do:As our Cook, you will be responsible for preparing a variety of wholesome meals, including:

• Pasta dishes
• Cottage pies
• Casseroles

Your culinary creations will not only nourish our children but also delight their taste buds! You will ensure that all meals are prepared with the utmost care and attention to food hygiene, creating a safe and enjoyable dining experience.

What We're Looking For:

• Previous cooking experience, preferably in a childcare or educational setting
• A keen awareness of food hygiene standards
• A friendly and approachable demeanour
• A passion for working with children and providing them with nutritious meals
