We’re working with a fantastic organisation that provides trauma-informed services to families impacted by domestic abuse - and they’re looking for compassionate, driven individuals to join their team in Preston.

This is a brilliant opportunity, especially if you’ve always wanted to work with children and make a real difference, but haven’t quite known where to begin. You’ll even have the chance to work towards a Level 4 Domestic and Sexual Abuse Support Worker qualification - fully supported and funded.

What You’ll Be Doing:
  • Supporting children and young people (CYP) affected by domestic abuse, both 1:1 and in group settings.

  • Promoting emotional wellbeing and safety, empowering CYP to express themselves and feel heard.

  • Working closely with parents/carers to encourage positive, healthy family relationships.

  • Delivering tailored, trauma-informed support that reflects the diverse needs of the local community.

  • Creating and maintaining child-centred safety and support plans.

  • Engaging in multi-agency working and contributing to safeguarding reports where needed.

What We’re Looking For:
  • Experience supporting CYP and families, particularly around safeguarding/child protection processes.

  • Confidence in facilitating activities and using age-appropriate, creative engagement methods.

  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.

  • A real passion for supporting vulnerable children and making a long-term difference.

You don’t need to tick every box - if you’re caring, resilient, and ready to learn, we want to hear from you!

Perks & Benefits:
  • Level 4 qualification fully funded

  • 24/7 GP access & health cash plan

  • Discounts on high street shops & gyms

  • Cycle to Work scheme

  • Paid professional memberships

  • Enhanced holiday, maternity, and sick pay

  • Staff wellbeing support & mental health services

  • A supportive, inclusive working environment
