Rayment Recruitment are looking for a Chef De Partie join a busy wedding venue and brassiere in the Chelmsford area, using the best of British produce to create a fusion of great tastes and innovative culinary delights, whatever the occasion.

The Company:

This wedding venue is surrounded by Essex countryside on the outskirts of Chelmsford. Essex. The venue combines the romance and charm and is a Grade II listed house with all the comforts of contemporary living. This Essex venue extends this philosophy to its food, offering a modern, award-winning brasserie open every day and an impressive traditional afternoon tea served in their elegant lounges in the main house.

Hours - 45 hour working week

The Role:

  • This role would suit an experienced Chef De Partie with extensive knowledge of working with fresh food and who holds a NVQ level 1 and 2 qualifications or equivalent.
  • As a Chef De Partie you must be enthusiastic and motivated, you will be supervising and mentoring trainees, therefore experience of coaching/mentoring in a kitchen environment would be desirable but not essential.
  • Within this role you will be working to agreed budgets and meeting targets whilst preparing and producing the highest quality food at all times.
  • The successful candidate will have experience working in a quality hotel or restaurant, have COSHH knowledge and experience organising, prioritising and managing a section.
  • You will be working closely with the food and beverage team to enhance product knowledge and customer experience.
  • Salary Up to £28K DOE, plus tips. 45 hour working week

  • Has relative experience in a similar fresh food establishment
  • Has an ability to supervise a small team
  • Has a strong passion for food and enjoys creating imaginative dishes
  • Takes pride in their work, serving food to the highest of standards with well thought out presentation.
  • Has a flexible, calm attitude to working and puts the needs of the business before their own
