A vibrant Manchester hotel in the Salford Quays media hub, with easy access to Old Trafford stadium and the city centre.

We are currently recruiting for a Business Development Executive to join our Truly Talented team.

We seek someone who holds and enjoys maintaining high standards, with keen attention to detail.

Applicants must be willing and capable of taking accountability and ownership for the human resources administration, and general admin duties to be able to deliver the requirements of the owners and management company effectively.

Your Role

Building Relationships: Establish and nurture long-term partnerships with key accounts, which could include corporate clients, travel agencies, wedding planners, and event coordinators.
Customising Offers: Tailor hotel packages, meeting spaces, room blocks, or special event offers to fit the needs of specific clients.
Market Research and Intelligence: Analyse trends in the hospitality and travel industry, utilising benchmarking tools (STR, Agency360, Demand360 – Amadeus tools) as well as competitors’ offerings, to refine strategies and discover untapped market segments.
Negotiating Contracts: Negotiate contracts with new and existing clients, including group bookings, corporate discounts, and partnerships for events or conferences.
Cross-Selling: Promote additional hotel services such as dining, spa, event hosting, or local experiences to increase revenue per customer.
Targeting Niche Markets: Focus on segments such as business travellers, destination weddings, or sports teams, and develop marketing campaigns for those groups.
Reporting and Strategy: Analyse sales performance and track key metrics to adjust the sales strategy. This involves meeting or exceeding KPIs and KPOs, tracking progress using Monday.com (CRM), and adjusting plans based on market feedback.
Attending Industry Events: Represent the hotel at trade shows, networking events, and industry meetings to increase visibility and attract new business.

Supporting Conversion and Collaboration with the Reactive Sales Team: Work closely with the reactive sales team to identify activities that will support conversion, including closing days (Conversion Day) and support in creating repeat business (Bring Back Old Business).
