Position Overview
A new and exciting luxury lodge resort set in the grounds of Chester Zoo is opening August 2025 and we are on the lookout for a Food & Beverage Manager to join the team.
Nestled in nature and designed to offer an unparalleled guest experience. The Reserve combines world-class amenities with a unique sense of adventure and tranquillity. As we prepare for our grand opening, we are seeking an experienced Food & Beverage Manager to lead our team and help shape the future of the hotel.
The Role
As the Food & Beverage Manager, you will oversee the day-to-day operations of our Food & Beverage offerings at The Reserve and play a crucial role in delivering exclusive and memorable experiences for our guests.
Responsibilities:
• Lead and inspire the Food & Beverage team to deliver continuous outstanding guest experiences
• Oversee the Food & Beverage operation with a keen focus on service levels, proficiency, and profitability
• Curate menus and service offerings, in collaboration with the Head Chef
• Manage stock, budgets, rotas, and compliance, in line with health & safety standards
• Drive guest feedback and team engagement to continually evolve the service culture of The Reserve
What We’re Looking For:
• Proven leadership in Food & Beverage management in a high-end hotel or restaurant
• A passion for hospitality and to consistently deliver memorable experiences for our guests
• An eye for detail, with strong organisational and communication skills
• A creative and proactive thinker who remains calm under pressure
Requirements
• Proven experience managing and developing a Food & Beverage team
• Confident in creating a positive, high-performing team culture
• A strong knowledge of Food & Beverage operations, service standards, and guest experience delivery
• Experience with inventory control, cost management, and budgeting
• Skilled in managing rotas, ordering stock, compliance, and audits
• Sound understanding of food safety, hygiene, and licensing laws
• Experience leading health & safety practices, allergen management, and training
• Comfortable using POS systems, stock control software, and booking platforms
