We are looking for a warm, professional and highly organised Switchboard Operator to join our Front of House team. You’ll be the voice of the hotel – the first point of contact for guests and colleagues alike – and play a vital role in ensuring every guest journey is seamless and memorable.

What you’ll be doing:

• Answering all incoming calls with warmth, professionalism and efficiency, providing accurate information about the hotel and its services.
• Managing internal communications, transferring calls and relaying messages to guests and departments.
• Handling guest emails and online messages, including through platforms like HiJiffy, and ensuring timely, thoughtful responses.
• Logging and managing wake-up calls, Do Not Disturb requests, and guest preferences in our PMS system.
• Coordinating with the wider team to ensure VIPs and special occasions are recognised and celebrated.
• Organising and delivering incoming parcels for guests and staff.
• Supporting with administrative tasks such as lost property, meeting minutes, menu updates, and project coordination.
• Responding to guest feedback and concerns with empathy and professionalism, escalating where necessary.
• Being fully aware of and adhering to emergency procedures, including health and safety protocols.

Who you are:

• A confident communicator with excellent spoken and written English.
• Exceptionally organised, detail-oriented and calm under pressure.
• A team player with a proactive, can-do attitude and a passion for service.
• Comfortable using Microsoft Office and quick to learn new systems.
• Previous experience in hospitality or a similar guest-facing role is desirable, but not essential.
