The Events & Groups Manager is responsible for ensuring the seamless planning and delivery of group bookings, meetings, and events – from handover by the sales team to post-event feedback and reconciliation. You will be the primary contact for clients during the pre-event and operational phases, ensuring that all details are captured, communicated, and executed to brand standards.
In this role, you will collaborate closely with Sales, Operations, Kitchen, and Revenue teams to ensure that all client needs are met while protecting commercial targets and operational feasibility. You will take a proactive and guest-focused approach to every event, using your knowledge and creativity to personalise experiences and solve challenges.
This role requires a high level of attention to detail, strong organisational skills, and the ability to manage multiple events simultaneously in a dynamic environment.

Event Planning & Client Liaison
• Act as the main point of contact for clients from contract handover to post-event feedback.
• Conduct thorough event planning meetings and site visits to understand client requirements.
• Prepare detailed Banqueting Event Orders (BEOs) and function sheets for internal use.
• Communicate clearly and effectively with all relevant departments to ensure smooth coordination and delivery.
Operational Delivery & Event Support
• Attend key events onsite to ensure service standards are maintained and client expectations are met or exceeded.
• Ensure rooms, function spaces, and amenities are set up according to the agreed event plan.
• Resolve any client issues or changes on the day of the event with a solutions-focused approach.
• Support the Senior Manager with delivering large-scale or VIP events.
Group Bookings Management
• Coordinate all operational aspects of group bookings including rooming lists, arrival details, dietary needs, and billing.
• Liaise with Front Office and Housekeeping to ensure guest expectations are met throughout their stay.
• Ensure group allocations and cut-off dates are managed in line with revenue and yield strategies.
Commercial Contribution & Upselling
• Maximise revenue opportunities through effective upselling of AV, F&B packages, additional rooms, and other ancillary services.
• Review client spend and event profitability with the Senior Manager.
• Support forecasting and event pacing by maintaining accurate data in Opera and Delphi.
Team Collaboration & Standards
• Work collaboratively with the Events & Groups team and across departments to deliver joined-up service.
• Provide guidance and support to junior team members or Event Executives where appropriate.
• Ensure consistent brand presentation, service levels, and client experience across all events.
Innovation, Guest Experience & Sustainability
• Offer tailored and experience-led suggestions to enhance events in line with 2025 guest expectations.
• Support Axiom Hospitality’s sustainability initiatives by incorporating eco-conscious practices into event planning.
• Seek and act on guest feedback to drive service enhancements and repeat business.
Administration & Compliance
• Maintain accurate records of event details, guest communications, deposits, and billing.
• Ensure all procedures comply with legal requirements including food safety, fire safety, GDPR, and licensing laws.
• Complete internal reporting, invoicing, and feedback capture in a timely and professional manner.
