Wentworth Club is one of the world’s finest private members Golf and Country Clubs, famous for its outstanding three Championship golf courses, in addition to a luxury Tennis & Health Club. The Club is surrounded and entwined within the Wentworth Estate, one of the most prestigious private estates in the London suburbs where many of the world’s premier golfers have their home.

You will provide swimming instruction in stages as per ASA/STA teaching plan for swimming, coaching all ages and abilities to develop swimming skills, technique, and confidence in the water.

Sessions may be held in the early evening and on weekends in 2, 3 or 4 hour blocks on a casual contract.

Skills:

• Enthusiastic and positive attitude towards swimming
• Good communicator
• The ability to inspire confidence, motivate and encourage swimmers
• To prepare lesson plans and a comprehensive scheme of work for specific lessons that meet the requirements of the Swim England Learn to Swim Framework and RLSS UK guidelines
• Plan and deliver sessions appropriate to the level of the swimmer
• Provide explanations and demonstrate swimming techniques
• To be a positive role model, creating a fun environment in which to motivate and encourage children and adults to participate in swimming
• Evaluate sessions and give feedback
• Regularly assess each participant’s ability and progress and arrange for an award of the appropriate certificates
• Continue to develop knowledge and professional development at every opportunity
• Ensure safe provision of all equipment and that it is used correctly
• Make sure safety standards are followed in all sessions

Qualifications:

• ASA Level 1 or STA Certificate for Coaching Swimming
• ASA Level 2 or STA Certificate for Coaching Swimming
