We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Night Porter to join our Front of House team. As a Night Porter, you will be the face of our hotel during the night, ensuring our guests have a seamless and memorable stay.
Key Responsibilities:
- Exceptional Service: Welcome and assist guests throughout the night shift, ensuring all guest needs are met to the required standards. Provide a warm and thoughtful attitude towards each guest and take initiative to make their experience extra special.
- Security and Safety: Monitor the flow of persons entering the building and partake in regular hotel security fire walks throughout your shift. Ensure the safe delivery of guests’ belongings to/from their rooms.
- Reception Assistance: Assist reception by answering phones, checking in & out guests, rooming guests, and providing general guest assistance at the desk. Be aware of and adhere to property-specific procedures for handling emergency calls (health and safety emergencies, natural disasters, evacuation, and bomb threats).
- Guest Relations: Recognise, remember, and act on all special requests, allergies, and occasions. Take initiative to solve guest issues and complaints where possible and ensure all guest issues are reported to management as they happen.
- Team Collaboration: Work together as part of the team to foster a culture of collaboration and mutual support. Be flexible within your role to help in different departments and around the hotel as and when required.
Who You Are:
- Experience: Previous hotel experience in a 4 or 5-star setting is desirable.
- Skills: Clear conversational and written English language skills. A flexible and willing attitude with the ability to follow specific instructions and maintain a respectful demeanour.
- Attributes: A people person who is creative, forward-thinking, and able to work independently. Holding a valid driving licence is a plus.
