In line with this commitment, we are proud to introduce the Oaklea Complex Care Unit within Ashlea Court Care Home, a pioneering 26-bed specialist unit designed to deliver high-quality care for individuals with complex conditions, including dementia. As the first of its kind, this unit represents our dedication to innovation and excellence in specialist healthcare.

We are looking for a compassionate Activities Coordinator who truly believes in bringing joy and sunshine to the lives of our residents. This role is all about providing fun, variety, and meaningful activities that enrich the lives of those in our care. What We Offer:

What You Will Do:

  •  Plan and Organize: Develop and manage monthly rolling programmes of activities and individual events, keeping residents active, engaged, and maintaining their hobbies.
  •  Foster Social Connections: Create opportunities for residents to socialize through a variety of group and individual activities that cater to different interests.
  •  Personalized Activities: Tailor activities to individual preferences, considering residents' care needs, including those living with dementia.
  •  Keep Accurate Records: Maintain detailed and up-to-date documentation on residents’ participation and progress in activities.
  •  Collaborate with the Team: Work closely with other team members to ensure activities complement residents' care plans and overall wellbeing.

  •  Event Planning Skills: Proven experience in organizing and facilitating a variety of engaging activities and events.
  •  Creativity and Confidence: A positive, friendly, and creative personality, with the confidence to lead and encourage participation in activities.
