Job Description
- Provide high-quality financial support to central support departments through detailed analysis and meaningful business partnering to senior management stakeholders.
- Ensure accurate and timely management reporting for all central cost areas.
- Drive effective budgeting, forecasting, and cost control processes across central support functions.
- Promote a culture of cost accountability and financial transparency.
- Lead process and financial controls improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and compliance.
- Support strategic decision-making by delivering clear financial insight and challenge.
- Enhance financial processes and reporting through continuous improvement and effective use of systems.
- Act as a finance business partner across all finance functions, ensuring collaboration and consistency in reporting and analysis.

Role in our Family
Key Deliverables:
- Timely and accurate monthly management accounts for all central support departments.
- Clear, insightful variance analysis with commentary and actions shared with budget holders.
- Delivery of annual budgets and periodic forecasts for central support departments.
- Accurate cost allocations and intercompany recharges posted and understood across the business.
- Ownership of process and control improvements to enhance accuracy, efficiency, and compliance.
- Balance sheet accounts for central support departments fully reconciled monthly.
- Regular business review meetings with department heads (e.g. HR, IT, Marketing).
- Proactive identification of cost-saving opportunities or efficiency gains.
- Continuous improvement in reporting and use of systems (e.g. Sage, Tableau, Power BI).
Responsibilities:
- Provide business partnering support to senior stakeholders across central support departments.
- Own month-end reporting for central support functions and ensure accuracy of cost allocations.
- Prepare and present budgets and forecasts aligned to strategic and operational plans.
- Lead cost centre reviews and challenge variances, providing recommendations.
- Work closely with all finance functions to ensure consistency, collaboration, and best practice sharing across reporting, planning, and controls.
- Collaborate with Financial Reporting and Control to ensure accurate recharges and postings.
- Identify and implement financial process and control improvements to streamline reporting, enhance governance, and improve efficiency.
- Support finance transformation initiatives, especially in reporting and systems usage.
- Ensure compliance with financial controls, support internal/external audit requests.
- Engage in senior stakeholder management, providing financial insight and strategic recommendations to drive business performance.
- Champion financial transparency and cost accountability in central support departments.
Essential Education, Qualifications, and Training:
- Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent)
Essential Knowledge and Experience:
- Experience in a finance business partnering role, working closely with senior stakeholders.
- Strong financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting experience.
- Ability to challenge and influence decision-making within a business environment.
- Experience in financial controls, governance, and process improvement.
- Exposure to intercompany recharges, cost allocations, and financial reporting across multiple departments.
Essential Key Skills and Abilities:
- Strong technical accounting and financial analysis skills.
- Ability to review and improve financial processes and controls to enhance efficiency and compliance.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to meet strict deadlines.
- Ability to simplify complex financial data and communicate insights effectively.
- Senior stakeholder management experience, with the ability to engage and influence decision-makers.
- Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills.
- Proactive, self-motivated, and able to work independently.
Desirable Education, Qualifications, and Training:
- Further financial qualifications or certifications related to financial analysis or business strategy.
- Evidence of continuous professional development in commercial finance or business partnering.
Desirable Knowledge and Experience:
- Experience working in a multi-entity or corporate environment with intercompany recharges.
- Knowledge of financial systems such as Sage, Tableau, or Power BI.
- Previous experience supporting transformation projects or financial process improvements.
Desirable Key Skills and Abilities:
- Experience in driving financial efficiencies and identifying cost-saving opportunities.
- Ability to train and mentor non-finance stakeholders in financial literacy.
- Strong adaptability and ability to work in a fast-changing business environment.
